November 25, 2009 Field Roast Surprise Those awesome friends at Field Roast gave us a lovely Thanksgiving gift this morning, in the form of a surprise delivery of Hazelnut Cranberry Roast en Croute! (Let's just call it HCR, shall we?) So if you are still needing an exciting entree, you have a second chance to grab an HCR. They didn't have too many to share, so call if you need me to hold one: 206-523-9060 Giving Thanks Indulge me a moment while I wax sentimental. Yesterday was Sidecar's busiest day ever. As I finished out the day, I thought about the incredible customers that shop at Sidecar for Pigs Peace. I've worked in retail for 20 years, and never had such enjoyable interactions as I get to have now. I also get to work with a tremendous team of volunteers. I'm so grateful to have a job I love. It's especially satisfying to me to see the store succeed, grow, and be a thriving example of compassionate living. For me, it's like seeing my ethics walking around in the wider world. And it's all because of you and our volunteers. I feel privileged. Thank you.
