Word was a real dog, incarcerated by Animal Control for 8 years before finally being released to Pigs Peace Sanctuary.

The book is ideal for children ages 9 through 12, but will appeal to animal lovers of any age. Proceeds from book sales will go to Pigs Peace Sanctuary.
